Easy Fall Decorating Ideas

Maybe it’s the leaves on the ground, the craft fairs every weekend, the beautiful colors, the slightly cooler air, the pumpkins every where, the smell of wood burning in the bonfire, the delicious scents of pumpkin, apple and cinnamon in every store and every house, or maybe it just the all around great feeling it gives me. For whatever reason I LOVE FALL! If you love fall you will want to see some of these Easy Fall Decorating Ideas.

I love everything there is about fall. Opening the windows and let in the fresh air,.spending more time outside with the kids without sweating my butt off, but the thing I think makes me the most excited about fall is decorating. I love the vibrant fall colors. I love to decorate with leaves, pumpkins, hay bails, corn stalks, fall wreaths, pine cones and you name it.

However, we do not have money to run out to Hobby Lobby each fall when I decide I need “New” decorations. I love Hobby Lobby. I could spend hours upon hours in that store and probably thousands if not hundreds of thousands of dollars there. The truth is we can’t afford to spend much for me to decorate each year. So I have found some great ways to improvise. I can still decorate for fall, and we won’t break the bank.

DOLLAR TREE:

I cannot tell you how much I am loving Dollar Tree. (did you know everything is just one DOLLAR!!) They have packages of beautiful fall leaves, amazing fall flowers, small scarecrows (so cute!) and so much more. It costs me very little to decorate if i shop at Dollar Tree.

So that $45 gorgeous Fall leaf wreath you were admiring at Hobby Lobby….Make it! The branch wreaths are about $5 at Hobby Lobby, and with their 40% one item coupon you can get from their website  you can get it for $3 ! Then head over to ..YES, Dollar tree and get you two or three packages of leaves and a bunch of flowers. Spend maybe $5 there. Go home get out your glue gun and go to town. It doesn’t have to be perfect. You now have your $45 wreath and only spend $8.

BUYING HAY BAILS OR CORN STALK:

Okay here we have several places set up just to sell fall items. I love looking at these stores or stands. The fact is that they are usually over priced. You can get hay bails and corn stalks at Wal-Mart for usually $5-$6 each. Check prices before you buy.

PUMPKINS:

Believe it or not I buy my big pumpkins at ALDI. Every year they will have them on sale for $2.99 each for the BIG ones.(and by big I mean HUGE!) Wal-Mart cost around $5 each and those stands are even higher. So check ALDI for pumpkins.

FALL SCENTS:

I love to have an amazing scent flowing through my house. Especially during fall. If you are like most of us you have a scent warmer. Doesn’t matter if it’s from Scentsy or Wal-Mart. Scentsy is too high priced for me to buy their wax melts. Wal-Mart has some great options and lower prices, but my all time favorite place to buy my wax melts is actually a friend of mine who owns her own company and makes them herself. They come in small cups with lids and the smell is amazing. Also let me add, the scents actually lasts longer than anywhere I have tried so far. Check out her Facebook page.  ( She can Ship too) Shana’s Scent Shoppe.

It makes me so happy to look around at my beautiful decorative (but messy)  house every fall.
